Elise and Drew had a quintessential New Hampshire fall wedding at Searles Castle in Windham, NH. This was one of those days where I thanked my lucky stars that this couple had chosen to do a first look. The back gardens surrounded by the castle's gorgeous stonework was the perfect setting for this couple's reveal. It was sheltered from the guests and gave us a few moments to photograph this intimate and joyful first look. From there, we were able to do outdoor garden wedding photos before a rather torrid rainstorm set in - and yes - it hopped right into this couple's outdoor ceremony and caused a rather frenzied but fun mass exodus into the castle where the ceremony came to it's fruition indoors. When I see Elise's mom's bright and beautiful smile, I can see where she and her sister's got the gift of there's. This wedding was super fun, full of joy and love and I couldn't have been more honored to be a part. The Searles Castle history is so unique and can be found here: Searles Castle History "Searles is said to have employed the finest masons and woodworkers to construct the castle, and imported marble and artifacts from Europe to furnish it. Examples of the fine work are found in the carved oak balcony, and the marble fireplaces." These details - the marble, carved oak and fireplaces are just a few of this things that make this venue a photographer's dream to photograph.
